Session Prep
Things to consider before our virtual session including Mind, Room, and Tech Settings.
#1
Mind Setting
INTENTION
Have an intention ready for the session by answering the following question: "How do I want to feel after the session?"
EXPECTATIONS
Vivid visualizations are not expected for a session, not everyone sees things clearly, some people simply have a sense of knowing
CURIOSITY
During the session your conscious mind might try to judge the information you're receiving, curiosity is the easiest way to access a state of surrender
SPACIOUSNESS
If possible, give yourself plenty of time to relax before and after the session, allow this time of self care to feel spacious
CAFFEINE
It's best to avoid caffeine as it may lead to feelings of jitteriness and anxiousness, which can hinder the needed relaxation
DRUGS AND ALCOHOL
The use of drugs and alcohol is not permitted before the session
#2
Room Setting
COMFORT
Prepare your space so that it feels good to you, preferably an area where you can be comfortably seating or laying down (like a bed or a couch); if seated make sure you have head and neck support
ROOM BRIGHTNESS
Make sure the room is not too bright nor too dark. For sessions that take place later in the day and/or stretch into the evening, have adequate lighting set up in place
TEMPERATURE
Adjust the room's desired temperature and have some blankets and water nearby in case you need them
DISTRACTION FREE
Prepare your environment to be distraction free i.e. pets/children/spouses/roommates)
#3

NOTIFICATIONS
Silence notifications on all devices
COMPUTER PHONE
Set up your laptop/desktop/tablet camera to show your face and shoulders either in the seated or lying down position
